Ranchos de Taos

3 galleries4 miles south on NM-68, combine with a visit to San Francisco de Asis

Ranchos de Taos is a distinct community built around the San Francisco de Asis Mission Church, the same adobe structure Georgia O'Keeffe painted more than 20 times. Chimayo Trading Del Norte occupies a 300-year-old building on the church plaza, while RB Ravens Gallery specializes in historic American Indian art and pre-1930 Navajo weavings along Highway 68. Combining a gallery visit with the church is a standard Taos itinerary and adds minimal time to either stop.
