Ranchos de Taos 4 miles south South on Paseo del Pueblo Sur to NM-68. 10 minutes. San Francisco de Asis Church.
Millicent Rogers Museum ~4 miles north North on NM-522 to Millicent Rogers Road in El Prado.
Arroyo Seco ~8 miles north North on NM-522, right on NM-150. Village with galleries and Abe's Cantina.

Taos Plaza / Historic Downtown The commercial and cultural center. Shops, galleries, restaurants, the Historic Taos Inn, Kit Carson Park. Walkable core.
Ledoux Street One block southwest of the Plaza. Most concentrated gallery and museum corridor in Taos. Harwood Museum, Blumenschein Home.
El Prado Unincorporated community directly north of Taos on NM-522. Taos Mesa Brewing, Millicent Rogers Museum, Taos Regional Airport. Spreading commercial strip.
Ranchos de Taos 4 miles south on NM-68. Distinct village centered on San Francisco de Asis Church. Quieter than town.
Arroyo Seco 8 miles north on NM-150. Small village with galleries, a cantina, and the turn toward Taos Ski Valley.
Taos Ski Valley 18 miles northeast. The mountain village at the base of the ski area. Lodging, restaurants, summer operation.
Rancho de Taos / Lower Ranchitos South of town spreading along NM-68. Mix of residential and commercial. Not the same as Ranchos de Taos.
Taos Canyon US-64 east of town toward Angel Fire. Summer homes, Carson National Forest access, the South Boundary trailhead.
